Greetings,

Thank you for taking the time to visit The Saint Paul’s Baptist Church Belt Blvd Campus web page. This is a wonderful time to be alive and a wonderful time to be a participant in the many great things God is doing here at SPBC. God has truly blessed us with the opportunity to extend our presence and influence as we now minister on both sides of the James River. As a church with a mission “to find problems and solve them, find hurts and heal them, find needs and meet them”, God has strategically placed us during this season of our history to continue that charge. As “one church in multiple locations”, the sky’s the limit as to what we can accomplish through the Grace and Power of God.

From our cutting edge Saturday evening service to our life-stage small group formations, we are poised and positioned to provide holistic ministry to all those desiring to grow deeper in their relationship with God. It is our intention as a “church for people on the grow” to provide every person the opportunity to discover their God-given purpose and live out their God-given destiny. Every person means exactly that, EVERY PERSON, because every person matters to us. Why? Because every person matters to God! Be sure to check out the 7 Reasons to Visit and make plans to join us as we strive "to empower people to grow into all that God has created them to be."

To find out what's happening on the Belt Campus, click on any of the tabs to your left and they will provide you with a brief glimpse into how life is developing here for us.  I pray that you find your place and purpose in God's Kingdom here on the campus and I look forward to seeing you soon.  Until then, be encouraged!

Peace,
Rev. John F. Kenney, MDiv

As you enjoy what's left of this long and hot summer, don't forget to take a moment and smell the roses. When you do, you may be surprised at what God brings to your attention!

The Bible reminds us that "every good and perfect gift comes the Lord" and with that must come the understanding that our perspective should be on exalting on the Gift-giver, and not the gifted. Many of us have become frustrated and discouraged because we have placed our focus in the wrong place. Don't get me wrong, I believe in giving honor where honor is due, but to exalt the gifted suggests that the Giver of the gift is less significant than the one who is gifted. When we place our focus on the person, then we fail to give God the proper respect and honor that is due to Him. Let me encourage you, the good and perfect gift that you see in others can be found within you because God has placed a perfect gift in you as well. Don't minimize your significance in the advancement of God's purpose in the earth by focusing on what others have, but begin to exalt Gift-giver, and you may find yourself feeling better about yourself! Where is your focus?
